KC2026 is requesting entries to design the official FIFA World Cup 26TM Kansas City Host City Poster. The call for entries is open now through Saturday, October 26, at 11:59 p.m. CT. There is a $15,000 total prize pool, including a $1,000 prize for each of the five finalists and a $10,000 grand prize. The winner’s artwork will become an iconic image of the World Cup in Kansas City.
“This poster will commemorate the occasion and help showcase our region to visitors, viewers and soccer fans across the world,” said KC2026 CEO Pam Kramer. “The poster should be an expression of our shared love of sports, but also capture how we collaborate to strengthen our communities, celebrate victories and unite as the heart of the nation.” More information, including contest rules and terms and conditions, can be found on KC2026’s website. Creators may enter by submitting a portfolio with three examples of their work and a sketch concept of their poster design. A committee of arts experts will identify five finalists, sending their top selections to FIFA for consideration along with their recommended winner. The contest is open to adults ages 18 and over in Kansas or Missouri. No AI-generated art will be accepted and participants are limited to one entry. FIFA will announce the selected artist in the first half of 2025. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for one Kansan or Missourian to shine before an international audience,” Kramer said. “We are proud of our region’s thriving arts community and this is our chance to put those talents on the world stage.” FIFA directs each host city to design an official poster, a reminder that the tournament is not only the world’s largest sporting event but also a cultural phenomenon. Artists must be 18 years or older and live in either Kansas or Missouri. For official rules and contest details, visit https://kansascityfwc26.com/postercontest. Comments are closed.
