The City of Grain Valley debuted a refreshed website (www.cityofgrainvalley.org) in late December. CARES Act funds were used to create what the City hopes is a more user friendly site for residents and businesses to conduct business with the City and register for programs.
Deputy City Administrator Theresa Osenbaugh said the City analyzed the areas visited most often and made them more prominent on the front page. “It is now easier than ever to pay water bills, register for Parks and Recreation programming and find things such as the calendar of events and city news. We also have added features that allow citizens to easily and virtually report concerns to appropriate departments, list their home on the peddler/solicitor no call list and register for emergency alerts,” Osenbaugh said. “We also believe that the addition of FAQ’s for each department, which are searchable, will allow citizens to find answers to common questions. We hope to be launching an email registration in the coming months so citizens can receive city communications on an ongoing basis outside of social media.”
