How to start a business in Blue Springs
Saturday, October 8th
10:00am - Noon
Have you ever wanted to open your own business but were a bit intimidated by the process? This two-hour class will walk you through the multiple steps of how to open and grow your business in Blue Springs. Learn about local resources in the Blue Springs community that can help you write a business plan, organize your business structure, find the right location, and how to go about receiving local, state and federal licensing. The class also features information about how to avoid costly miss-steps and local resources available to growing businesses.

The Business of Food Trucks Workshop
Sunday, October 23rd

Want to start a food truck? Not sure where to start, or maybe how to finish what you've started? Learn the business of food trucks from the experts at this full-day event designed to walk you through the steps of opening your own food truck business. Come ready to learn how to plan your cuisine, equipment, business model, brand, financials (including funding), and of course, to ask your questions. You will also have the opportunity to sample food truck cuisine and tour a food truck. Your menu can be all about your personal style, but when it comes to running a profitable food truck, make sure you get the facts.
Participant Take-aways:
Identify the next steps for starting your food truck.
Find out what information you need to gather so that you can take those next steps (HINT: Call the Health Department!)
Explore follow up opportunities to build your skills in digital marketing,
