     Truman Heartland Community Foundation is pleased to welcome seven new members to their Board of Directors: Thomas Meyer, Metropolitan Community College; Rochelle Parker, Child Abuse Prevention Association; Brandyce Parks, CommunityAmerica Credit Union, representing the Blue Springs/Grain Valley Advisory Board; Merideth Parrish, Independence School District; Beth Silverstein, Silverstein Funding Solutions, LLC; Terri Steele, Evans and Steele Financial, LLC, representing the Independence/Sugar Creek Advisory Board; LaShawn Walker, Suburban Balance.
 
     Truman Heartland Community Foundation (THCF) is a public charity committed to improving area communities by promoting and serving private giving for the public good. Founded in 1982, THCF serves the region with assets of more than $51 million and annual grants surpassing $5 million.
     In addition to donor services, the Community Foundation provides asset development for nonprofit organizations, awards grants to nonprofits, assists organizations in planned giving and serves as a leader in addressing community issues.
